The Surface Inspector (SI) series vision systems have been designed to work on a variety of product including: cable jacket, pipe, bar stock or tape. The detectable surface defects include pinholes, bulges, neckdowns, surface blemishes, discolorations, tape mis-wrapping, wrinkles, tears and many more.
Print InspectionTaymer camera inspection print verification is a critical print inspection tool to properly set up your wire marking equipment to free your operators from monitoring print quality. Print inspection and automated verification is critical to ensure your wire marking machines and cable meter marking machines are performing to your customer’s expectations.
Taymer’s Print Verification 1400 utilizes a high speed line scan digital imaging technology to verify information printed on cable at moderately high speeds – up to 1400 feet per minute. The Print Verification 1400 can run in together with an ink wheel printer, an ink jet printer or any other high speed printing device. High Speed Surface Defect detection is another cost saving capability of the PV1400.
The Print Length Verification System continously monitors length marks, ensuring that your cable is marked in precise 1 meter or 2 foot increments. The PLV system offers a continuous re-calibration feedback loop that adjusts the length markings according to actual measurements on the fly. Can be integrated with both ink jet and Taymer’s Hot Foil printers.
The PV SnapShot series of products provides operators with a combination of visual print verification as well as an automated “No Print” detector. The SnapShot’s optical and software technology presents a windowed viewed of your print that is digitally strobed to allow verification of the complete cable legend over a period of a few seconds.
Taymer’s Contrast Measurement system utilizes an optical system to determine the contrast of the print compared to the jacket. Available to be positioned online after the printer or off-line at a station, the CS1000 will give accurate measurements to ensure the print contrast level meets specifications.
