The PV SnapShot series of products provides operators with a combination of visual print verification as well as an automated "No Print" detector.  The SnapShot's optical and software technology presents a windowed viewed of your print that is digitally strobed to allow verification of the complete cable legend over a period of a few seconds.

Print Inspection - PV1000
Taymer's Print Verification 1000 utilizes a high speed line scan digital imaging technology for print inspection of information printed on cable at moderately high speeds - up to 1000 feet per minute.  The Print Verification 1000 can be factory installed onto your Taymer hot foil printer and can use OCR technology or pattern matching to verify length measurement information with actual.  Surface defect detection is another application well suited to the PV1000.

Taymer's Print Verification 1400 utilizes a high speed line scan digital imaging technology to verify information printed on cable at moderately high speeds - up to 1400 feet per minute.  The Print Verification 1400 can run in together with an ink wheel printer, an ink jet printer or any other high speed printing device. High Speed Surface Defect detection is another cost saving capability of the PV1400

Contrast Measurement - CS1000
Taymer's Contrast Measurement system utilizes an optical system to determine the contrast of the print compared to the jacket. Available to be positioned online after the printer or off-line at a station, the CS1000 will give accurate measurements to ensure the print contrast level meets specifications.

Surface Defect Detection - SI 4100
Taymer's Surface Inspector Product group came from application of our knowledge of wire and cable industry requirements and machine vision technology to the problem of surface defects especially in non metallic cables such as fiber optic cables.  Surface defects also play a bit role in steel tube, round bar and plate manufacturing where a small scratch or nick can be an unacceptable defect.

Band Inspection System
The Band Inspection System is the only tool available to automatically inspect band quality on Nextrom coloring lines.  This will help you reduce costs in your production facilities through reduced rework and quality assurance.

 

Reduced Printing Rework
The Print Verification's Continuous Capture mode of operation provides the operator with up to the second digital image feedback of the current print quality on any production line.  This continuous stream of real time information allows the print inspection either automatically or by the operator to monitor the print quality and gives him or her the time to react to correct marking problems before they result in expensive cleaning and reprinting or even scrapping of product.

Increased Operator Productivity
The Print Verification increases productivity in your wire and cable plant.  Continuous feedback of print quality allows print inspection by operators in a single, central location to supervise more than one production line simultaneously, freeing up personnel for other functions.

Sequential Numbering Accuracy Check
The Print View utilizes an encoder to calculate length measurements which are then displayed on the operator's console together with the sequential measurement markings being printed on the cable.  This allows either automated or operator print inspection to quickly and easily compare the printed sequential numbers with the actual sequential measurements.  Simple print verification allows operators to take corrective action before thousands of feet of cable are marked with incorrect length information.

Quality Assurance
Using the Print View, you can capture images of your printed cable, save the images to disk and print them out to include in your quality reporting both internally and to your customers. The Print View makes print verification possible for operators to verify print settings at shift changes and for engineering and production supervisors to verify the print legend while briefly walking past the operator's console.

Surface Defect Detection
Taymer's Print verification technology with Pattern Matching can also be used to detect surface defects.  Surface defect detection is especially useful in non metallic cable where there are few other options to accurately detect surface defects or holes in the cable jacket.
